House Exchange and HomeSwapper mutual exchange web services are now available to all L&Q residents for free.

These two internet-based services have been designed to bring people together who are looking to swap homes and we recommend that you register on both sites to improve your chances of moving.

To register just go to House Exchange and Homeswapper and complete your details online. Once your details have been verified by our staff, all other registered users will be able to view your home’s details, and you will be able to search all the advertised properties to find a new suitable home.

Please remember that if you use these services you will still need to obtain our permission before any exchange can go ahead.

What is Mutual Exchange?

Mutual Exchange is an option some residents may want to consider when looking to move home. It is where two (or more) tenants exchange tenancies and move permanently into each other’s homes with their landlord’s permission.

Are you eligible to exchange?

If you hold a secure or an assured tenancy then you will be eligible to exchange your property with either:

• Another L&Q tenant,
• A tenant from another housing association, or
• A local authority tenant.
