Moving home

It’s a fact that in London there are more people living in unsuitable accommodation than there are decent homes for them to move in to. At L&Q we do our bit by building homes and improving the ones we already own. From the surveys we carry out, residents tell us they are generally happy with where they live and the service we provide.

There are of course times when residents want a transfer to another home. It could be their family has grown and the home is overcrowded. There are other reasons for wanting a transfer and we do our best to help. This, added to the fact that we have to offer the vast majority of our empty homes to families and individuals on the housing registers of local councils, makes it difficult to help existing residents as quickly as we would like.
