Things are looking up for former Ujima estates in Brent

Residents of former Ujima estates in Brent are starting to see a difference as L&Q begins ongoing maintenance improvements across the borough.

The Slough handyman team recently joined tenancy services officers to visit the estates, complete a number of basic repairs and remove a lot of fly-tipping.

Momodu Haddi, Tenancy Services Officer (pictured – second left – with the handyman team), said: “I am delighted that things are starting to happen on my estates - it has been a long time coming”.

New Tenancy Services Officer Lovevita Wright also welcomed the chance to meet so many residents and find out their views on life on their estates. Residents said it was great to see L&Q staff on the estates and meet their tenancy services team.
