Over 800 people enjoyed free entertainment at three ‘Picnics in the Park’ in Burnham and Iver this summer. The family events were hosted by L&Q, Burnham Oasis Project and South Bucks District Community Safety.
The Army’s paintball rifle range was a huge hit. Other attractions included a fruit shy, kickboxing sessions, and training with football and rugby coaches. Children met animals such as Percy the pig at the petting farm and watched the Punch and Judy show, whilst a clown circulated the crowds making balloon animals.
A lucky few won raffle prizes including a television, shopping vouchers and a games console, donated by contractors. Lots of information was also available from the Fire Brigade, Community Safety and Drug Awareness teams and L&Q.
