Centurion Square

Master GunnersCenturion Square is in Woolwich, London.

The Master Gunners Estate was bought by L&Q from the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in 1997. With the full support of Greenwich Council, L&Q designed a scheme to regenerate the entire area to provide over two hundred high quality new homes for local residents.

Existing residents were moved to other homes to allow a rolling programme of demolition and construction, with the first new homes starting to be built in January 2005.

There has been extensive consultation and involvement with both the local residents and other key stakeholders prior to and throughout the work to the project to ensure its success.

When complete there will be 68 homes. This includes 7 for residents who use wheelchairs and 6 for others needing support. There will also be 15 homes for part-buy-part-rent and 141 for outright sale.
