L&Q has appointed Nemco Utilities to carry out all of its water testing, monitoring and risk assessments in a move to improve service quality and reduce costs.
The new four-year contract, which started this month, will help L&Q meet its legal and ethical duties as a landlord. We monitor the temperature of all shared water tanks and facilities, because outbreaks of Legionnaires’ disease can occur from public water supplies if the water is between 20 and 45 degrees Celsius.
Working with a single supplier for four years means we can offer a better, more consistent, service to residents. It also means better value for money – particularly important because costs are passed on to residents through service charges.
